You’ve seen the ads. "Blocks 99% of heat!" "Makes your car feel like an icebox!" "NASA technology!" Let’s cut through the noise. I’ve been tinting cars in Syracuse for 16 years, and I’m going to tell you the truth that other shops won't:
Ceramic tint is not magic.
The Reality Check: Does ceramic film reject more heat than standard film? Yes. Is it worth paying $800+ for a "brand name" sticker on your window? Absolutely not.
Many shops use confusing numbers (like IR Rejection vs. TSER) to trick you into thinking their film defies the laws of physics. They want you to believe that if you buy their film, you won't need air conditioning. That is a lie.
The Tint Squad Promise: We sell ceramic film because it does perform better. It protects your interior and keeps you cooler. But we don't sell the hype. We charge a fair price for a high-quality product, and we install it perfectly.
Don't pay for the marketing fluff. Pay for the skill of the installer.
